EchoVision Smart Glasses — Quickstart Guide

This quick guide covers the most common functions for daily use. For detailed setup and troubleshooting, see the full User Guide.

POWER & CHARGING
Turn On or Off: Hold the left-top button (on left arm, behind hinge) for 5 seconds. You’ll hear a tone.
Force Restart: Hold the same button for 30 seconds.
Charge Glasses: Place them in the charging case (lenses facing you) or plug the USB-C cable into the end of the right arm.
Charge Case: Plug the USB-C cable into the bottom port of the case. Double-press the flat button on the back to hear the battery level.
1 beep = 25%, 2 = 50%, 3 = 75%, 4 = 100%.

BUTTONS & FEEL POINTS
Left Arm (top): Power/Camera — smooth button just behind hinge.
Right Arm (top): AI/Action Button — same spot on the opposite side.
Left Arm (side): Touchpad Sensor — raised horizontal line you can feel.

MAIN BUTTON SHORTCUTS
Left-Top (Power/Camera):
– Press once: Take photo
– Press twice: Start video (press again to stop)
– Hold 5 seconds: Power on or off
– Hold 30 seconds: Force restart

Right-Top (AI/Action):
– Press once: Q&A Mode (ask a question or scene description)
– Press twice: Live AI Mode (beta) (real-time description)
– Press three times: Reading Mode (beta) (read page by page)
– Press five times: Diagnostics (battery and Wi-Fi check)
– Press six times: Bluetooth Pairing Mode
– Long press: Stop AI mode or cancel action

TOUCHPAD GESTURES (LEFT ARM)
Swipe forward: Volume up
Swipe backward: Volume down
Single tap: Pause or resume (AI, Music, or Calls)
Double tap: Hang up or describe scene
Long press: Trigger Siri or Google Assistant, or end AI session

CONNECTING TO PHONE
Install the EchoVision app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Open the app and log in or register.
Select your EchoVision device when it appears.
Choose your home Wi-Fi and enter the password.

Using Phone Hotspot:
1. Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot and turn on Allow Others to Join.
2. Note or copy the password.
3. In the EchoVision app: Settings > Wi-Fi > Select your phone’s name > Paste the password.

VOICE COMMANDS
Say these after pressing the AI button once:
– “Call Aira” to connect to a human agent
– “Call Be My Eyes” to connect to a volunteer
– “What am I holding?”
– “Describe my surroundings.”
– “Read this page.”
– “Where is the door, chair, or trash can?”
– “Do you see stairs or low branches?”
Tip: You don’t have to say it perfectly — the AI understands natural phrasing.

TROUBLESHOOT QUICKLY
Not Charging: Check cable direction, case port, or enable low-current mode on power bank.
No Sound: On iPhone go to Settings > Bluetooth > EchoVision (no BLE) > Device Type = Headset.
Wi-Fi Won’t Connect: Avoid public login networks (airports, cafes). Use your phone hotspot instead.
